About Vidar

Vidar Skrede is a Nordic folk musician, composer, and teacher originally from western Norway, now based in Milwaukee, WI. A master of the fiddle, Hardanger fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, Vidar has a rich background in traditional music from southwestern Norway, along with advanced studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. With numerous albums, awards, and tours across Europe and North America, Vidar has earned a reputation as a leading figure in Nordic folk music, known for his innovative compositions and collaborations with a wide range of artists.
