Director: Dome Karukoski. Run time: 92 m. (English subtitles). Starring: Jussi Vatanen, Jasper Pääkkönen, Timo Lavikainen, Pamela Tola, Kari Ketonen, and Miia Nuutila.

 Awards: 2011 Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival, Grand Prix and Coup de cœur. Tróia International Film Festival, Silver Dolphin (Best Cinematography). Won four Finnish Jussi awards.

“Lapland Odyssey” is a romantic comedy about a “loser”, Janne, who lives in the wide open area of Sápmi in Northern Finland. He failed to get a digital TV box for his new wife despite her giving him money for it. Inari (Janne’s wife) gives him an ultimatum: Bring her a digital TV box by dawn or she leaves! With two friends in the middle of the LONG Sápmi night, Janne desperately journeys to rendezvous with his father-in-law at his electronics store several kilometers (or hundreds of miles) away. Nothing is easy about the journey, and several comedic “mis”adventures ensue!
